These muggies came out less than perfect. We aim for perfection here but sometimes the pottery fairies have other ideas. These pieces are all incredible and wonderful to use, as they were for a pre-order they could not be used to fulfil the orders due to the slight errors that occurred during the making process.
These are super limited in numbers.
Options:
Wonky Letters: these letters got away from the mug a little bit, instead of them being in straight lines they went a little bit off course.
Black Staining: These ones had a little bit of excess black left on the surface of the mug. As these were for pre-orders, they could not be used as they weren’t as pictured. See the third image for what this smudging may look like. The smudging is in different places on this seconds mug.
Pin Holes: NOT FOOD SAFE: There are a few items with pinholes they are to be used with your own discretion. It is advised that these items are not used with food due to the pinholes being tricky to clean causing the build up of bacteria.
Clay Lump: This mug has a big old clay lump in the base. It is from the creation purpose and a small nodule we missed when cleaning the mug up.
Without a Handle: This one had the handle break off in the pre-firing process. As we had already stamped the mug and it was practically fine, we proceeded to finish this piece off but without a handle.

These delightfully shaped curve mugs are an absolute dream to hold in your palm. Each mug is detailed with its own unique flare. Perfect for your morning cuppa or your evening ritual tea. Each piece takes four hours to paint and add details too. Every single one is poured, smoothed, and illustrated by Shelby Sherritt in her regional Victorian studio.
These mugs are handstamped with the iconic Julia Gillard speech.
There are now a variety of different sizes to choose from.
The Short Curved Belly: Holds approx 200ml and measures 7cm tall, 7.5cm wide and 10cm wide with the handle. The perfect little cup size.
The Tall Curved Belly: Holds approx 250ml and measures 8.5cm tall, 8cm wide and 10cm wide with the handle. A little more volume with the same curvy shape.
The Stein: For someone who loves a lot more drink more often. Keep in mind, the height of this baby may not fit under all coffee machines.
The Short and Round: A standard mug shape with a standard volume, the perfect all rounder. This ones handle is round and chunky.
The fluted rim: A bit like the stein but with a fancy fluted rim.
Due to the handmade nature of these items, measurements are approximate and some variation will occur. This mug will be picked at random for you. Each mug is handpainted so imperfection is part of their charm.
Please make sure to hand wash these items before use. All pieces have been vitrified with food safe glazes and colours. To increase longevity of item, opt for hand washing over dishwashing however these items can be placed in a dishwasher, microwave and oven.
Please note that some of the pieces are hard to capture their true appearance due to the gloss glaze reflecting light in different ways.
